Kesem is the leading national non-profit serving children who have been affected by a parent's cancer. Camp Kesem at Carnegie Mellon University was founded in 2014 and supports children in the Pittsburgh community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round peer support to children ages 6-18.
While at camp, kids have fun and build connections with each other and counselors who understand and are trained to support their needs. Beyond camp, year-round services such as care packages, personalized greetings, birthday cards, local gatherings and more provide a continuum of touchpoints for campers and their families outside of camp.
